College Scholarships are awarded each year to students of academic achievement who otherwise might not have the financial means to attend the college of their choice.
Nominations for college scholarships are closed and no additional nomination will be accepted at this time.
Raskin Scholars must demonstrate a commitment to their education, a high degree of performance in that pursuit and an interest in the creative arts, be it professional or amateur, performance or personal, in any way artistic. The creative spirit is central to the diversity and fabric of our country. And the Raskin Foundation seeks to celebrate that spirit in the lives of college-bound students.
To begin the process, a school official must submit an online nomination of the student. Nominations must be received by December 2, 2013 for seniors graduating in 2014. Once the nomination is received, the student will be asked to complete an online application, including a personal essay. High school transcripts, test scores and a parental financial statement are also required. Deadline for submission of student applications is January 15, 2014. Ten to fifteen finalists will be chosen and brought to Chicago for an in-person meeting. Winners of $10,000 annual tuition stipends will be announced on April 1. Scholarships are renewable each year of the undergraduate's education as long as satisfactory progress toward a degree is achieved.
